DRIVER'S NAME RELEASED IN SHILOH SCHOOL ACCIDENT
Additional details have been released in regards to a fatal accident Monday morning at the Shiloh Elementary School. According to the Shiloh Police Department, a vehicle allegedly drove through the wall of the school building, into the cafeteria and hit three students. One student, 8 year-old Ryan Wesling died of neck and chest injuries. Two other students, 8 year-old Kamron Stevens and 7 year-old Alexander Daniels were treated at the Belleville Memorial Hospital and released. The driver of the vehicle, 84 year-old Grace Keim of Belleville, has since been released from the hospital.
The Shiloh Police Department together with the Illinois State Police is continuing their investigation into what caused the accident.

Candidate petitions are still coming in for the April Election. As of late Wednesday afternoon, Unit 1 School Board incumbent William Johnson filed his petition for another 4-year term. Two other seats held by Kevin Rickman and Teresa Tompkins will also be on the ballot.
For the Village of Keyesport, Helen Sharp filed her petition for a chance at one of the two 4-year terms currently held by Vernon Myers and Carl Wrone , both of who are retiring.For the Village of Mulberry Grove, incumbent Karan Belcher has filed her petition to retain another 4-year term. She joins incumbent Don Smith who filed Monday. Ron Hartman holds the third open seat on the board.

RAIN TOTALS FOR JANUARY
According to the city of Greenville rain report, January 2007 recorded the second highest rainfall out of the past ten years, but was below average when it came to snow on the ground. There were 4.16 inches of rain and 4.25 inches of snow reported at the Waste Water Treatment Plant on Route 40; 3.94 inches of rain and 4.25 inches of snow at 6th Street; and 3.98 inches of rain and 4.5 inches of snow at Route 140 and Idler Lane. The ten-year January average for rain is 2.7 inches, with the average snowfall at 5.29 inches. The wettest days in January were the 13th with 2.2 inches of rain and the 21st with 4 inches of snow.
