WGEL makes this correction. There will NOT be an early dismissal on
Friday, October 31st for Bond County Unit #2 students as previously stated in the WGEL DAILY of October 28th . WGEL apologizes for any confusion. Friday, October 31st will be a regular school day for Bond County Unit #2 Students.

The busiest time of the year for Bond County Clerk Randy Reitz is not the Holiday season, it's election time. The Presidential election along with the Constitution Convention and the Alcohol Referendum, all on the Ballot this year, make for a very exciting election. You don't have to wait until November 4to get your voice heard. Early voting is going on now. Randy Reitz said that early voting is going on now until Thursday, October 30. Stop by the County Clerk's office for more information on early voting. The official Election Day is Tuesday, November 4.
4-H ACHIEVEMENT NIGHT DINNER BENEFITS TOYS FOR JOY
Bond County 4-H members will be recognized for their dedication and accomplishments at the annual achievement night program, Saturday, November 1, at the First Presbyterian Church on Idler Lane. The evening will begin with a potluck meal at 6:00 PM. Meat, rolls, and drinks will be provided. Please bring one large or two small covered dishes. There will be a silent auction for several baskets prepared by 4-H representatives. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will go to "Toys for Joy." Pre-registration is required. Call the University of Illinois Extension Office at 664-3665, by Wednesday, October 29, to make your reservation.
