HAPPY THANKSGIVING


NEW TREASURES AT HOLIDAY BAZAAR

 

The 51st annual Greenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary Holiday Bazaar will be Saturday, December 6th from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church in Greenville.  One of the new booths at the bazaar, "Just For Men," will offer sports books, sporting items, and neckties.  "Craft Exchange" is another new booth, which will have craft kits and supplies.  The "Country Store" booth will have some new items this year.  Apple, peach, blueberry, and gooseberry jellies will be available along with 16 dry-mix dips.

 


MOTIVATION TO GET UP AND GO

 

The University of Illinois Extension will offer a seminar entitled "Finding Your Get Up and Go," Monday, December 8th at 1:00 PM, at the Farm Bureau building in Greenville.  Family Life Educator Milly Kaiser will lead the seminar.  There is no charge to attend but registration is requested by Thursday, December 4th.  To register, call 664-3665.

78th CHORAL SEASON TO BEGIN

 

The Greenville Choral Union and Orchestra will begin their 78th season with a performance on Sunday Dec 7th at 4PM in the Whitlock Music Center on the Greenville College Campus. The concert celebrates the music of the popular composer George Frideric Handel.  Seating for the concert will begin at 3:30. Following the performance, Greenville College Interim President Ed Blue and his wife will host a reception at Greenville College Alumni House for the Community.


COUNTY REPRESENTATIVES TO BE SWORN IN

 

According to Bond County Clerk Randy Reitz, States Attorney Chris Bauer, Circuit Clerk John King and County Coroner Alan Young will be sworn in on Monday, December 1st at 11am in the courtroom of the Bond County Courthouse.
