ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES ON I-70
Sunday morning at 9:26 am, Greenville Police received notice of an accident on I-70 in the westbound lanes at the 48 mile-marker. According to information at the police department, a semi truck had rolled over. Bond County EMS and Smithboro Firemen responded to the scene where injuries had been reported. Illinois State Police handled the accident.
AMERICAN FARM HERITAGE MUSEUM DINNER
Saturday nights American Farm Heritage annual dinner and auction was another big success. A huge crowd of Museum supporters, at the Armington Center at Greenville College, heard a message from Kevin Daughtery the State director of Ag in the Classroom, the group that takes the story of the importance of agriculture to schools throughout the state.
The culmination of the evening was an Auction conducted by Curt Aumann of Aumann Auctions. The Auction raised 3,495 dollars for the Museum plus an additional 5,350 dollars was raised to bring a water line to the Museum grounds. The American Farm Heritage Museum is located just South of Greenville along I-70 and is dedicated to the preservation and display of all things agricultural and it conducts many events throughout the year.
RESULTS FROM GREENVILLE EASTER EGG HUNT
Saturday, the Greenville Commercial club and the Greenville Optimist club held this years Easter Egg Hunt in Patriots Park and there were some happy grand prize winners.
Grand Prize winners of bikes, trikes and wagons included 8 year-old Travis Bryan from Smithboro, 6 year-old Brianna Ulmer, 5 year-old Zoey Luster, and Cameron Nickle, all from Greenville. Golden egg winners were Tailer Mayes, Madelyn Dieber, Nathan Heckman and Isabella Jorgonson.
