BOND COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE
Great music, great food, and great people came together for a great cause at last Friday night’s Bond County Relay For Life event held at the Bond County Fairgrounds. This year’s crowd was an inspiring sight because it included many cancer survivors, indicated by the blue survivor shirts they wore.
At the event, Randy Alderman told WGEL that he thought that Bond County was again going to come through and raise thousands of dollars, and he was right. The current total is 55 thousand dollars and still growing. There were 16 teams including 7 bronze teams that raised 2,000 dollars plus. 440 Luminaries were sold, and the auction raised 2,300 dollars.
