PARK BOARD REVIEWS MASTER PLAN

At Monday’s Special Kingsbury Park District meeting, a review of the master plan from the Consultants EWR Association was unveiled, with a new skateboard park, walking trails, outdoor sports complex, community center and a new pool, among the top priorities.

The overall cost of the plan, as of now, would be around $21 million dollars over the next 10-15 years. EWR advised that there are grants and funding available. They also said to take these plans in stages. President Dave Barbie was in favor of putting a referendum on the ballot for opinions from the public. His view was supported by many committee members.

After the presentation, the board went to a committee meeting to discus further matters, including the review of the presentation.
