MOTORCYCLES CRASH DUE TO DEER
Bond County Sheriff's Officers responded to an accident Sunday evening involving two motorcycles. David Vogler, age 45, and his wife Melody, age 43, of Breese, were westbound on Rt. 143 on two motorcycles when a deer ran in front of David. He could not avoid hitting the deer and Melody crashed avoiding the deer and the other motorcycle. Bond County EMS responded to the scene and according to the report, transported Melody to Greenville Regional Hospital for treatment. David was taken to the hospital in a friend's car.
4TH STREET CLOSED IN GREENVILLE
4th Street in Greenville, North of the railroad tracks from Franklin Street to College Avenue, will be closed, due to repairs, Monday through Wednesday of this week.

RAIN TOTALS FOR MAY
May has been the wettest month for the local area so far this year. According to the City of Greenville rain gauges, May saw a total of 10.54 inches of rain at the water treatment plant - 5 inches more than the ten-year average. Nearly half the days in May saw some precipitation. To date this year, over 30 inches of rain has fallen over Greenville.
