GREENVILLE ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER ADDRESSES SCIGA MEETING
Assistant City Manager for the city of Greenville, Lisa Stephens, addressed the most recent meeting of the South Central Illinois Growth Alliance. Stephen's presentation highlighted ways to protect an economic vision and keep college students in the community. "You can't cut away to prosperity." said Stephens. Communities need to protect their economic development vision by reviewing their strategic plan to see if it is doable. If so, proceed, and if not, make adjustments. She also suggested that keeping college students involved in community activities would make them feel valued and help keep them in the region.
