FAREWELL RECEPTION FOR JIM HAYES

 

You are invited to join Greenville Regional Hospital staff, board of directors, medical personnel, family and friends to bid farewell to Hospital President and CEO Jim Hayes and to thank him for his years of dedicated service to the community.  The reception is at 2:30 PM today, at Emerald Point Apartments with a special presentation at 3:15. 

 


ATTORNEY GENERAL TARGETS TWO ALLEGEDLY DECEPTIVE CHARITIES

 

 

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is going after two charities that she says are keeping donations for themselves.  Lawsuits have been filed against "Public Awareness, Inc." and "Homes for Heroes, Inc." Public Awareness, Inc. was allegedly conducting a fundraising campaign using the name Illinois Police Patrolman's Association and Homes for Heroes, Inc. was allegedly conducting a fraudulent charitable campaign to help men and women in uniform.  You are encouraged to thoroughly check out organizations before making a donation.  For information on charitable organizations, call the Attorney General's Office at 312-814-2595

BENEFIT FOR KIDNEY TRANSPLANT PATIENT AND DONOR SUCCESSFUL

 

 

The dinner and dance benefit recently held to raise funds for Kirn Wildhaber, who was diagnosed with kidney failure last summer and his donor, Nathan Grider, was a great success.  Kirn is a technical service advisor with Enertech Manufacturing in Greenville, who hosted the benefit.  More than $10,000.00 was raised through the dinner, music, raffles, and silent auction.  Thanks to the more than 140 people who attended, to all the prize donors, and others who helped make the event so successful.  The transplant was Tuesday, May 19.  Kirn and Nathan are doing well and are expected to fully recover.

DAVID HOAG DEPARTS GREENVILLE COLLEGE

 

 

After 13 years at the helm of the Greenville College Office of College Advancement, Dr. David Hoag has accepted the position of Senior Vice-President of Advancement at Trinity International in Deerfield, Illinois. Doctor Hoag began his tenure at Greenville College, in July of 1996, as Vice President for College Advancement and was promoted to Senior Vice President in July 2006. Under Dr. Hoag's tutelage, Greenville College has raised more money from gifts than at any other time in its history.

OBITUARIES

ELLA B. DEMOULIN

 

Ella B. DeMoulin, age 98, of Mulberry Grove, passed away Monday, May 25, at Fair Oaks. Graveside funeral services for 98 year-old Ella DeMoulin will be at noon Friday, May 29, at Green Hill Cemetery near Van Burensburg, IL. The family will receive friends at service time at the Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family. The Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
