BOND COUNTY FAIR OPENS WEDNESDAY
The Bond County Fair opens Wednesday night at the Bond County Fairgrounds in Greenville. On Wednesday night the garden tractor pull starts at 6PM with the carnival opening at 6:30, after that the carnival will open at 6PM every night. Thursday morning, the judging commences in the community building followed with a steer show. Harness racing is at 6PM. Friday, The beef show is at 8am, the antique farm machinery expo and farm toy show opens at noon and will be on display Saturday and Sunday. The western horse speed show is at 7PM with the demolition derby at 7:30. On Saturday, the sheep show starts at 8am, the tractor games at 10am with the tractor parade at 1PM. The kids day carnival runs from 1 to 4PM. A Civil War re-enactment will be staged at 3PM. The farm tractor and 4 wheel drive pull is at 5PM with the talent show at 6:30.
On Sunday, the fair starts with a community church service at 8am and rabbit show at 9. The chain saw cutting contest is at 1PM with a kids pedal tractor pull at 1:30. The kids carnival will run from 1:30 to 4:40. Another Civil War re-enactment at 2:30, swine show at 5 and the Pro Pulling League & ITPA at 7. Monday, August 3rd will be senior citizens day. The 4-H auction starts at 6PM with the little miss and queen pageant at 7. On the last day of the Fair Tuesday, August 4th, the dairy show starts at 9am. The Fusion Dance team performs at 6PM. The parade starts at 7PM with Big Jeff's Blues performing after the parade.
