TIF HEA RING
A public hearing was conducted recently at the Greenville Municipal Building for the proposed expansion of the Greenville Tax Increment Financing or TIF district to enlarge the district to allow for a potential new business in the industrial park. Several representatives of local taxing bodies were present and legal council for the fire protection district asked, if the city got a new industry that required special fire fighting equipment, would the TIF have funds to help purchase that equipment. The answer to that question was yes. There will be a final meeting on the TIF expansion subject Friday, August 28 at noon, at city hall.
