GREENVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT CALLED TO TRUCK ACCIDENT GAS LEAK
The Greenville Fire Department was called out to a truck accident around 11:30 Thursday morning. The truck accident caused a gas leak on Route 127. The fire department was on the scene for about 40 minutes and housed down the front yard of the residence near the accident as a precaution. Ameren was called to stop and fix the leak. Although not all the details of the accident are available according to the Bond County Sherriff's department the driver of the truck was arched to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis for injuries.

TRIAL DATE SET FOR CAVALETTO MURDER CASE
The trial of a man accused of killing a southern Illinois first grade teacher more than two years ago, will finally begin May 3rd. Thirty year-old Neil Barrall is facing three counts of murder and aggravated criminal sexual assault in the death of 38 year-old Rita "Michele" Cavaletto. Barrall is accused of purposely hitting the Marion County woman with his Jeep and then dragging her into the woods where he allegedly raped, kicked, and stabbed her to death in October 2007. The trial venue was changed to Effingham County. The Centralia school teacher was the daughter-in-law of State Representative John Cavaletto, who was seeking the 107th District seat at the time of her murder.

NEW STATE BUDGET WEBSITE
The Governor's office of Management and Budget presented a new budget website recently that allows residents of Illinois the opportunity to learn about the 2010 fiscal year budget and the obstacles being faced for the 2011 fiscal year. The Quinn administration hopes that this website will give everyone the opportunity to become engaged in the budget process.
