MARCH GREENVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
The Greenville City Council met Tuesday night. The council approved a TIF agreement with Darla and Larry Dieters for a new restaurant they plan to build on the site of the current G.E.T. Video store on Harris Avenue. The Dieters are awaiting approval of a city revolving loan to get started rebuilding the G.E.T. facility into Kahuna's Restaurant. Kahuna's will be a 1,420 square foot, 45 seat restaurant, with extra outside seating, featuring burgers and sandwiches. The council passed a resolution in support of the Kaskaskia College Veterans Tribute and approved the purchase of a new lake patrol boat. The special council meeting is scheduled for Thursday night to deal with the revolving loan application from the Dieters and a new planned unit development.

MOREL MUSHROOM IDENTIFICATION SEMINAR
The U of I Extension office in Greenville will offer a seminar on morel mushroom hunting, this Thursday, at 7:00 p.m. The Four-Seasons telenet will focus on identifying various species of morels, basic biology of mushrooms, tips for finding morels and guidelines for safe hunting.
