GERALD TURLEY AWARD RECIPIENT ANNOUNCED
The Gerald Turley Award recipient has been announced by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. Dan Jensen will receive the honor this year. Jensen is known for many volunteer efforts including those with the Simple Room, Salvation Army bell ringers, senior center food pantry, Greenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary, blood drives and many others. Jensen taught at Greenville College for 36 years. Past recipients include Frank Watson, Fred Baumberger, Tony Koonce, Darryl Bolen and Robert Ish Smith, just to name a few. Jensen will receive the award at a dessert reception in the Krober Room at Greenville College, Thursday, April 29 starting at 6:30 p.m. For more information contact the Greenville Chamber of Commerce at 664-9272.

GREENVILLE REGIONAL HOSPITAL AWARDED ACCREDITATION
Greenville Regional Hospital has been awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), a recognized independent accreditation authority. The hospital earned this distinction after HFAP conducted an extensive and objective review of the quality and safety standards at the hospital and all its related services. The HFAP is one of three national voluntary accreditation programs authorized by the centers for Medicare and Medicaid services to survey all hospitals and other medical facilities for compliance with the Medicare conditions of participation. This accreditation is recognized by the federal government, state governments, managed care organizations and insurance companies.
