LOCAL EGG HUNTS THIS EASTER HOLIDAY AND WEEKEND

 

It’s time to hunt for those Easter eggs and here is a list of local egg hunt times and locations.

 

Helia Healthcare in Greenville is holding their annual Easter bunny, egg hunt, and bake sale on Friday, April 2 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. The egg hunt will be at 3:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the residents' activity fund.

 

The Greenville Commercial Club will have an Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Patriot’s Park.

 

Keyesport American Legion Post #1994 is holding an Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 3 at the post home. Sign up starts at 10:00 a.m. and the hunt starts at 11:30.

 

Gilham Lodge is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt in Mulberry Grove Saturday, April 3 at 1:00 p.m., behind the school in Mulberry Grove.

 

The  United for Others Easter egg hunt will be Saturday, April 3 at the Grantfork United Church of Christ, at 1:00 p.m. There will be fun activities, prizes and snacks.

 

The Sorento Homecoming Association is holding an Easter egg hunt Sunday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Park in Sorento.

GREENVILLE AND MULBERRY GROVE RESPOND TO BRUSH FIRE

 

Mulberry Grove and Greenville Firemen responded and extinguished a brush fire, just after noon Thursday.  Mulberry Grove responded first and requested mutual aid from Greenville for manpower and a brush truck.  Firemen were on the scene for about an hour and a half.  The fire was on Mulberry Grove Road at Triple D Road. 

NEW COMMUNICATIONS SERVICE FOR MADISON COUNTY

 

Recently, the Madison County Sheriff's Department began using a new communications service that allows them to send important valuable community information directly to residents. The service is called Nixle Community Information Service. This service will allow the Madison County Sheriff's Department to create and publish messages, to residents who subscribe, instantly via cell phone text message or e-mail. Neighborhood messages, within a ¼ mile radius, may also be obtained. To sign up, register, or for notification go to the web site www.nixle.com.  Regular text message fees apply.
