PUBLIC BUILDING COMMISSION MEETING

The Public Building Commision held a meeting last week.  The topic of discussion was the chair lift at the courthouse.  The current chair lift is broken so such an old model that parts are no longer avaliable.  The commission decided that replacing the lift makes more sense than repairing.  One bid for the project was received from the Kone Company in Missouri for a price around $15,000.  The commission approved the expenditure with the condition that prices are sought from a few other companies to make sure the Kone Company price is competitive.  No schedule was announced on when the work will start or be completed but it was the intention of the committee to act quickly.
