SCIGA MARCH MEETING
The regular monthly meeting of the SCIGA was convened recently in Vandalia. Vandalia Mayor Rick Gottman welcomed everyone and gave a brief update on the progress of the city. Kaskaskia College President Jim Underwood shared information regarding the future joint ventures with the KC Vandalia Campus and the Vandalia YMCA and an update on the International Trade Center. SCIGA Director Art Borum told members of the alliance that three potential prospective projects are very active with inquiries from seven other firms about the area. Josh Weger, Southeastern Region Manager for the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, discussed their efforts to be transparent to the public about their activities including being open about how every state dollar is spent.

IRMA WIRTZ
Erma L. Wirtz, age 89 of Greenville, passed away Friday, April 16th at Fair Oaks surrounded by her family. Funeral service’s were held this past Sunday at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Interment in Hazel Dell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bond County Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the Activity Department at Fair Oaks.
ALINE E. CRADER
Aline E. Crader age 81 of Highland passed away on Friday April 16th at Highland Health Care Center. Funeral services will be Monday April 19th at noon at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. Burial will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday 4 to 7pm and again on Monday from 8am to noon at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland.
JOHANNA LINENFELSER
Johanna A. Linenfelser, age 89 of Highland, passed away Saturday, April 17th at Faith Care Center in Highland. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11am at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8pm and Tuesday from 8 to 10:30am at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or as a mass.
