SEMI-TRUCK ROLLOVER ACCIDENT ON I-70 THURSDAY MORNING
Greenville Police and Bond County Sheriff’s Department Officers, Illinois State Police and Greenville Firemen were dispatched this morning at 4:06 to the scene of a semi-truck rollover accident on I-70 in the westbound lanes at the 41 mile-marker, between Greenville and Pocahontas. No injuries were reported but firemen were called to wash down a fuel spill. Both lanes of westbound traffic on I-70 were closed for a while this morning. According to the fire report, firemen stopped a fuel leak. They were on the scene for about two hours and fifteen minutes.
MULBERRY GROVE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING
At the Mulberry Grove Village Board meeting Monday, the board discussed a request for installation of a stop sign at the intersection of Pearce and Walnut Streets. The matter was tabled until the June meeting. Action was taken to install a lock on the light switch at the park as a money saving effort. The village finance committee will meet Monday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m.
The next meeting is scheduled for June 7 at 7:00 p.m.
