REVIEW OF HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUMS
The Illinois Department of Insurance announced recently that it has applied for a federal grant to support the fepartment’s efforts to enhance the collection, public disclosure, and analysis of health insurer premium increases in Illinois. This grant will allow the department to establish the infrastructure and protocols necessary to collect, publish, and analyze premium information so Illinois consumers and policymakers are better informed about health insurance premium rates and rate increases, health care costs, utilization trends, and health plan benefit designs. The 1 million dollar grant should be available by August 9, 2010.

NATIONAL ROAD TO PRESENT PLAQUES IN TROY
The National Road Association selected three sites in Troy for inclusion in it's Art and Architecture Tour. A plaque presentation will be Tuesday, July 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tri-Township Library in conjunction with the Troy Historical Society meeting. The three sites receiving plaques are the Jarvis House, the Carney House, and the Adams Store ghost sign. Since August 2007, a committee has been identifying 100 locations along the historic National Road in Illinois that are the best representations of art and architecture. Similar presentations will be made in other National Road communities over the coming months.
KEYESTONE PIPELINE FLOWING
Oil is flowing in the new Keyestone pipeline that runs just south of Greenville. According to the Trans Canada website, the oil starting flowing June 30 from Alberta Province, Canada to Patoka, Illinois.
