MAN DROWNS IN CARLYLE LAKE
According to a press release from 911 East in Clinton County, at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 20 the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call reporting a man had fallen into a silo on Carlyle Lake near the northeast section of the lake. Emergency personnel from the Army Corp of Engineers, Huey-Boulder-Ferrin Fire Department, Keyesport Fire Department, MedStar Ambulance Service and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department conducted recovery efforts. David Spires’ body was located at 4:40 p.m. inside the silo in approximately fifteen feet of water. According to witnesses, Spires had lost his balance while diving off the silo into the lake.
BOIL ORDER FOR TRI TOWNSHIP WATER DISTRICT
Tri Township Water District has issued a boil order for Monday morning, July 26 due to divers inspecting the water tower. The boil order will be in effect until further notice.
