The Bond County Board of Health Director’s meeting has been rescheduled from Monday, August 9 to Monday, August 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bond County Health Department Building.
DEMO DERBY RESULTS FROM BOND COUNTY FAIR
The 2010 Bond County Fair Demo Derby was Saturday night. David Jackson won the feature with Josh Scott second and Scott Baldwin third. In the compact division, Kerry Kehrer won with Travis Kehrer in second and Matt Notemeyer third.

ART WALK FUNDING APPROVED BY GREENVILLE TOURISM
The Greenville Tourism Committee met Monday for a special meeting. Martha Radcliff spoke on behalf of Our Common Ground. She made a request for the September 17 Art Walk. The board unanimously voted to give the $1200 to the Art Walk for advertising. The motion now goes to the Greenville City Council for final approval.

Melvin “Louie” DeSart, age 79, of Taylorville, formerly of Coffeen, passed away Saturday, August 7 at his residence. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen. Burial will be in Olive Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dr. Walter H. Johnson, age 93, of Hebron, Indiana, formerly of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, August 4 in Merrilville, Indiana.
