DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR CONSERVATION STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM
The cut-off date for accepting the next batch of applications for the Conservation Stewardship Program has been extended to January 7, 2011, according to Illinois State Conservationist Bill Gradle. Illinois farmers are encouraged to apply for the CSP which promotes land conservation activities. For more information, call 217-353-6606.

GREENVILLE FIREFIGHTERS CALLED TO GAS SMELL
Greenville Firefighters were dispatched Friday, at 7:49 a.m., to a report of a gas smell in the 400 block of Bowman Industrial Drive. Firefighters checked a six to eight block area and found no gas leak or the source of a gas smell. They were on the scene for about an hour.

Josephine Harvey, age 76, of Marine, formerly of Coffeen, passed away Saturday, October 30 in St. Louis. Funeral services for 76 year-old Josephine Harvey will be Tuesday, at 11:00 a.m. at the Irwin Chapel located at 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon. Burial will be Tuesday, at 3:00 p.m. at the Olive Hill Cemetery in Coffeen. Friends may call today, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Irwin Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the John Harvey Scholarship Fund or to the Worden Assembly of God Church.

Dolly M. Webb, age 68 of Mulberry Grove, passed away Friday, October 29th at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Funeral Services for 68 year old Dolly Webb will be Monday at 7pm at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Mulberry Grove. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7pm at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Mulberry Grove. Memorials may be made to the family or the American Heart Association.
