FATAL ACCIDENT RESULTS IN DUI CHARGES

According to the Illinois State Police a fatal head on accident around 2AM Sunday morning has resulted in alleged aggravated DUI charge against Robert Reavis age 23 of Smithboro. According to the ISP, Reavis was traveling westbound on route 140 near Linder Boulevard when he allegedly left the road to the right and entered a corn field, then steered back to the left, crossed his lane of traffic and entered the eastbound lane striking a white 06 Dodge head on. Brock Adcock, age 33, of Greenville, was the driver of the Dodge and was killed on impact. Funeral arrangements for Brock Adcock are in today’s Daily.

PETITIONS AVAILABLE FOR CITY COUNCIL

With one election done earlier this month, it’s time to start preparing for the next election. Petitions are now available for 2 spots on the Greenville City Council. Petitions can be picked up at city hall Monday through Friday from 8AM-5PM, or can be downloaded from the State Board of Elections at www.elections.state.il.us. Petitions must be turned into the city hall from November 15th through November 22nd. The two seats on the council up for election are currently held by Matt Roadman and Kenny Hampton. 3 SPOTS UP FOR ELECTION AT UNIT 2 BOARD OF EDUCATION

The next time people go to the polls, three positions on the Unit 2 Board of Education will be up for election. Petitions to be on the ballot for that election are now available at the Unit 2 Office on Route 140 in Greenville. The office is open from 8AM-4PM Monday through Friday and closed on holidays. Petitions can be picked up now, but the filling period for when they can be turned back into the Unit 2 office is December 13th through December 20th. The seats up for election are currently held by Ron Smith and Scott Gaffner in Central and Tom Theiss in Lagrange . Beatrice “Bea” Willmann, age 90 of Highland, passed away Thursday November 4th at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. Funeral services for 90 year old Beatrice “Bea” Willmann were held today at 10am at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitations will be Sunday from 4 to 8pm and Monday from 8 to 9:30am at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. Memorials may be made in the form of masses or to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.

Janet M. Lange, age 49, of Highland, passed away Saturday, November 6 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. Funeral services for 49 year-old Janet Lange will be Tuesday, at 7:00 p.m. at the Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. A private graveside service will be at a later date.
