WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING

There is the chance of freezing rain/sleet and even a little snow all mixed in tonight.  The National Weather service will have a winter weather advisory in effect for Bond, Clinton, Montgomery, Fayette, Macoupin and areas north, south and east from 6PM tonight until 6AM Thursday.  While local precipitation totals are only expected around .10 of an inch it could cause slick roads and hazardous driving conditions to happen quickly.  With temperatures below freezing anything that does fall will stick to roads, sidewalks, driveways or wherever it lands.  Please take extra care when driving tonight and tomorrow morning and allow extra time for any travel.  Heavier precipitation totals are expected to the east of Bond County.

DONNEWALD HELPS AREA CAUSES

At a presentation Monday morning, one of Greenville’s newest businesses presented checks and clothing to help three area organizations. Toys for Joy, Greenville BCMW and the Greenville Police Association annual Senior’s Christmas Dinner were the recipients of Donnewald’s generous donation, $3,000.00 and 60 jackets.  A spokesman for Donnewald said, “We try to be a corporate citizen wherever we are and the folks of Greenville and Bond County were very good to us so we want to return the favor. We were glad to do it.”
