BIG DONATION COMES TO SORENTO SCHOOL

The Sorento School recently received a big donation from a great friend of the school, according to Principal Bill Carpenter.  Carpenter said John Hopkins and Truck Centers Inc. has made donations to the school in previous years and this year he donated $8,500.00 so the school could purchase a mobile computer lab.  The mobil lab will allow computers to be transported throughout the school, from classroom to classroom, as needed.  His previous donations, when added to what the school could afford, allowed the acquisition of twenty computers in the computer lab and smart boards for the entire school.  He’s a special friend who has helped the school catch up on technology.  Principal Carter said, “He’s been a God-send to our school and community.”
