CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO KRP BUILDING

Greenville Police Officers are investigating reported criminal damage to the KRP building on Dewey Street.  A window was reportedly broken along with a light and there was damage to a bench.  Damage is estimated at $500.00.

BOND COUNTY BOARD MEETING FEBRUARY 15th

The Bond County Board is scheduled to meet Tuesday, February 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the county board room of the courthouse.  The agenda includes an IDOT approval of acting highway department superintendent, use of public resources for personal reasons, and animal control.

MULBERRY GROVE 2010 FIRE PROTECTION ACTIVITY

The Mulberry Grove Fire Protection District reported annual activities for 2010.  There were a total of 150 calls in 2010 compared to 119 in 2009. There were 41 fire calls in 2010 and 52 the previous year.  First Responder calls increased from 67 in 2009 to 109 in 2010. Average response times for fire calls averaged 8.5 minutes in 2010 compared to nearly 12 minutes in 2009.  First Responder response time also improved. 2010 property loss for 2010 is estimated at $170,000.00 compared to $82,000.00 for the prior year.

SCIGA MEETING

SORENTO ELEMENTARY TO HOST BLOOD DRIVE

Mrs. Booth’s fourth-grade class at Sorento Elementary School is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive Friday, February 18 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  Each prospective donor must present identification such as a Red Cross donor’s card or a driver’s license.
