KINDERGARTEN SCREENING AT GREENVILLE ELEMENTARY

Kindergarten screening and pre-registration for Greenville Elementary School are scheduled for Thursday, April 7 from noon to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, April 8 from 9:00 a.m. until noon, at the First Christian Church.  To schedule a screening time, call Shari at 664-3117.

DEMOULIN’S 1st ANNIVERSARY

You are invited to a party Saturday, March 19 to help celebrate the DeMoulin Museum first anniversary. John Goldsmith said the celebration will include a free hot dog, chips, and soda to the first 50 visitors, beginning at 11:00 a.m. There is no admission charge and and there will be drawing for a gift card to a local restaurant. The DeMoulin Museum is located at 110 West Main Street in Greenville

MEMORIAL BRICKS

There are currently 954 bricks at the Bond County Veteran’s Memorial.  The deadline to order memorial bricks to be placed at the Bond County Memorial for the Memorial Day ceremony is March 31.  To be eligible, veterans must have lived in Bond County for at least five years and received an honorable discharge.  A copy of the Veteran’s DD214 and discharge record must accompany the application.  The veteran does not have to be deceased, nor have lived in Bond County after separation from the military. Applications for the memorial bricks are available at local banks and the Bond County Clerk's & Treasurer’s offices.   For more information, contact Tony Koonce at 618-664-1976.

SOCCER ABOUT TO START AT KINGSBURY PARK DISTRICT

At the March Kingsbury Park District Board meeting it was said that the KPD soccer season is about to start and uniforms are being handed out. According to Director Jerry Sauerwein, enrollment is up with more than 300 kids enrolled. Sauerwein said with college kids out on spring break all parents have not been contacted by a coach but he is advising them to call the office for coach information. Carolyn L. Cranston, age 84, of Champaign, formerly of Greenville, passed away Sunday, March 13 at Helia Health Care in Champaign.  Funeral services will be Friday, at 10:30 a.m. at the Mattis Avenue Free Methodist Church in Champaign.  Burial will be in Mt.
