MORE ACRES REQUESTED FOR BCT BUILDING

At Monday night’s Bond County Health Board meeting, Anna Oestriech asked the board if an additional acre and a quarter could be added to the space set aside for the new Bond County Transit building.  Anna told WGEL they first submitted the request for building funding early in 2009 and at that time, they were planning to build a garage storage facility.  Since then, they decided to move the entire transit operation to the new facility requiring additional space for administration, dispatching, billing, and other functions.  Room is needed for storage of all county vehicles with room for future expansions.
