KINGSBURY PARK DISTRICT LEAVES SWIM TEAM UNDER PARK DISTRICT UMBRELLA

In May’s Kingsbury Park District meeting the board decided to leave the swim team under the district's umbrella after much discussion with a group of team member's parents. Board President Tommy Simpson told the group of parents that in the past there had been some problems with information correspondence between the parent organization and the district and the board thought maybe it might be better for the swim team to be a separate entity. The parent group said they wanted to stay with the park district and asked they be given this year to work out problems.
Director Jerry Sauerwine said the plaque for the dedication of the Paul Ranson Field House/Concession Stand at JC Park is in. The board approved the purchase of a shade structure to be added to the field house with the cost not to exceed $4,950.00. The board also approved the purchases of the Aqua Climb Wall, not to exceed $16,731.00 and pool furniture, not to exceed a cost of $3,500.00. The Aqua Climb Wall should be installed by mid to late summer.
