FIRST MALE PRESIDENT OF THE GREENVILLE REGIONAL HOSPITAL AUXILIARY
The Greenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary General Membership Meeting was July 17. The meeting began with a program by the interim president and CEO of Greenville Regional Hospital, Michael Zilm. Zilm talked about his impressions of Greenville and thanked the auxiliary for the work they do. He discussed two projects he will be working on during his time at the hospital: renovation of the patient registration area to make it more private and recruiting more primary care physicians. Zilm said the recruitment process for a new CEO has begun and 10 potential candidates have been found. The auxiliary also made history as it elected Boyd Vieregge to be President. Vieregge is the first male to serve as Auxiliary President, replacing acting President Nancy Machmer.
