JUNIOR COMETS SEASON STARTS THIS WEEKEND
The Jr. Comets 2012 season kicks off this weekend. Tom Broomfield said the Jr. Comets are at home against Staunton. Game time is 11:00 a.m. for the 5th grade game, and the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade games will follow at the high school football field. Tom told WGEL they try to teach the students the basic fundamentals of football. There is a win/loss sheet, but the most important thing to them is that the students have fun and learn how to play. Students who are interested in playing with the Jr. Comets may still register. There is a $10.00 late fee. For more information, call Tom at 315-9065.
