THE 55TH ANNUAL GREENVILLE REGIONAL HOSPITAL AUXILIARY BAZAAR BRINGS IN BIG FUNDS
The 55th Annual Greenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary Holiday Bazaar was a huge success again this year, bringing in $38,242.00. Items remaining from the bazaar will be available for purchase this Saturday at the Greenville Kiwanis Club’s Annual Pancake and Sausage Day at St. Lawrence Catholic Church from 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

MULBERRY GROVE VILLAGE BOARD APPROVES PROPERTY ZONING REQUEST
At the Mulberry Grove Village Board meeting Monday night, the board approved the zoning committee recommendation to change the zoning classification of the old greenhouse to R2, allowing multi-family dwellings on the property. Owners plan to demolish the old greenhouse part of the building and convert the office portion to an efficiency apartment.
The board accepted the proposed 2012-2013 tax levy ordinance.
Christmas bonuses for full-time and part-time village employees were approved.
The next meeting is January 7, 2013, at 7:00 p.m.
“CHRISTMAS BY THE FIRESIDE” AT GREENVILLE COLLEGE
The third annual “Christmas by the Fireside” Concert is Sunday, December 9, at 7:00 p.m., in the Whitlock Music Center on the Greenville College Campus. Join the Greenville College Band and smaller instrumental and vocal ensembles for an old-fashioned musical event ringing with the joy of the Christmas season. The concert features a variety of heartwarming Christmas melodies and excerpts from “The Nutcracker Suite.” There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome. KC FINANCIAL AID PERSONNEL AT GREENVILLE EDUCATION CENTER
Kaskaskia College Financial Aid Office personnel will be at the Greenville Education Center Thursday, December 6, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Staff persons will confirm students are registered in classes to help them achieve their educational goals and are eligible for financial aid. Records will be checked to be sure students are meeting satisfactory academic progress, are aware of their lifetime eligibility funds used, know how much money they have borrowed, and what repaying student loans entails. GREENVILLE CHAMBER SPONSORS HOLIDAY DECORATION CONTEST
Greenville residents are invited to compete in the Greenville Chamber of Commerce Holiday Decoration Contest. Displays will be judged Tuesday, December 11. The contest is open to residents living within the Greenville city limits and Chamber board members, employees, and their families are not eligible to participate. Entry forms are available at Watson’s Drug Store, True Value Hardware, and the Chamber office. There is no charge to enter and completed forms are due in the Chamber office by Friday, December 7. Triad Middle School is asking former students who participated in chorus, show choir, or school musicals over the past 30 years to take part in a fund raising event to benefit the Triad Middle School musical “Hello Dolly.” “One More Time,” a dinner, reunion show, and auction is scheduled for Saturday, January 19, 2013. Tim Jansen, age 45, of Bartelso, passed away Sunday, December 2 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.
