LAW OFFICERS WINNING BATTLE OF THE CROWS

WGEL reported recently of local law enforcement officers using an air cannon on the courthouse lawn to scare away crows.  According to Bond County Sheriff Jeff Brown, a new tool is now being used in the “Battle of the Crows.”  A recording of a bird of prey is playing constantly on the courthouse roof.  The recording cannot be heard from the ground but the birds hear it and it seems to have scared the crows away from the courthouse area at least for now.  Jeff said they still have the air cannon to use as needed but at this time, the recording seems to be working.
