BOND COUNTY BOARD MEETING
Bond County Board members were sworn in this week by County Clerk Randy Reitz. Howard Elmore was elected Chairman and Wes Pourchot Vice Chairman. Other board members are Frank Lucco, Eldon Young and Gerald McCray. No committee appointments were made at this meeting.
Bond County Building Inspector and Zoning Administrator George Shaw announced his resignation. Citing poor health, he said he would stay on until the board found a replacement. The board accepted his resignation and thanked George for his 5 ½ years of service.
The board set meeting times. Previously, the county board met the first and third Tuesdays, at 7:00 p.m. The Bond County Board will now meet at 9:00 a.m. the first Tuesday of the month and at 7:00 p.m. the third Tuesday.
BOND COUNTY OFFICERS SWORN IN
Bond County Circuit Judge John Knight swore in the recently elected officials. Bond County State's Attorney Chris Bauer and Bond County Circuit Clerk Rex Catron are incumbents. Tony Brooks is Bond County Coroner.

The Illinois Specialty Crops, Agri-tourism, and Organic Conference is January 9-11, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield.
