The Kingsbury Park District Board met Monday evening and conducted a brief meeting before going into executive session to discuss personnel and the lease or purchase of property for district use.
No action was taken after the closed session. All five board members were in attendance at the meeting.
During the open part of the meeting, the board passed a required ordinance pertaining to the Local Government Travel Expense Control Act.
It sets maximum amounts in reimbursements for travel, meals and lodging on official business. Park District Director Jerry Sauerwein stated that if anyone requests reimbursement of amounts higher than the maximum, then they will have to ask the board for approval.
Sauerwein said an easement agreement is being developed with the City of Greenville for a sanitary sewer pipe replacement project at Jaycee Park, fliers for the youth soccer season should be available by the end of next week, and a preliminary budget is being developed.
The district director is still planning to schedule a meeting with Counsilman Hunsaker of St. Louis to talk about swimming pool improvements and additions.
The firm has been hired by the KPD board to provide architectural and design plans.
