Wilma L. Collins, age 78 of Carlyle, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
Mrs. Collins was born on March 9, 1939, in Senath, Missouri, a daughter of Claude and Nellie (Pulley) Wright. She married Max Collins on February 16, 1962, in St. Louis and he preceded her in death on September 11, 2007.
Wilma is survived by a step-son – Mack Collins and wife Peggy; 4 step-grandchildren and many step great grandchildren; a niece – Donise Hopkins and husband Robert; and a sister-in-law – Clara Wright.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by a brother – Don Wright and a step-daughter – Marcia Clayton.
Wilma worked at Halben Foods in St. Louis for over 30 years. She loved gardening and working in her yard, and enjoyed garage sales, boating, and camping with her husband Max.
A Memorial service will be held at Zieren Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Inurnment will follow at McKendree Chapel Cemetery in Keyesport. Friends and family are invited to visitation at Zieren Funeral Home on Thursday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.
