Cherrie Diffenauer, age 59 of Livingston, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 7, 2017.

Cherrie was born on April 24, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of James and Mildred (Fiscus) Diffenauer. She was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Livingston, and was always willing to help others out. Cherrie loved attending the Ladies Night Out Bingo, spending time with her family, and going out to eat.

Ms. Diffenauer is survived by her sisters – Nelda Hunter and Agnes Diffenauer, both of Carlyle; a brother – Marvin Charleton of Morrison, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents – James and Mildred Diffenauer; a son – Sammy Dobbs, Jr.; a sister – Marvia “Sue” Melton and husband Eugene “Gene”; and 2 brothers-in-law – Richard Manning and Larry Hunter.

Funeral services for Ms. Diffenauer will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle with Pastor Mike Roberts, officiating. Following cremation, a committal service will be held at Carlyle Township Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
