Marilyn K. Deibert, age 80 of Highland, IL, died Monday, January 8, 2018, at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, MO.
She was born on Sunday, May 23, 1937, in Grayville, IL, the daughter of Norman C. and Kathlyn M. (nee Kuykendall) Frankland.
Marilyn was born in Grayville, IL. Her father was transferred with GTE as a manager to Highland in 1950. She graduated Highland High School in 1955. She worked at Alton Box Board for several years and then married and started a family. She had briefly worked for a number of short-time jobs and devoted herself to caring for her eldest son as he fought cancer. After his death, she sold real estate, worked as a Police Dispatcher, and a secretary at a nursing home. She enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends on the last Tuesday of each month. In her youth, she loved canoeing and snowmobile riding. She was a long time Girl Scout Leader. She was a former member of Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, IL. She enjoyed eating Rainbow Trout her father and sons had caught at Bennett Springs State Park in Missouri.

Private Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL.
