Mulberry Grove native Kate Jolliff-Rosado has received regional recognition for her senior softball season at Greenville University.
She was selected to the Midwest Region first team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
After completing her high school career at Mulberry Grove, Jolliff-Rosado played two years at Kaskaskia College and then starred on the Greenville University team the past two years.
This past season, she hit .446 with 54 hits, 9 home runs, 45 RBIs and a .818 slugging percentage.
Jolliff-Rosado, a catcher, earned the honor of St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year, as the Lady Panthers won the conference tournament to reach the NCAA Division III national tourney.
Her teammate, Jordyn Wieland, an outfielder from Pinckneyville, was selected to the NFCA Midwest Region third team.
